In the year of 1978 a idea was born with a form that we commonly call a "bag". With an irreverent tear, against a largely formal and classical attitude, the first prototypes were shaped with different materials and colors. In addition to the first bags, the Costa & Tavares company was born, and gave substance to the ideas...Today, in a brutally technological era, global, with almost daily mutation, we accept the challenge of continuing to formulate and reformulate concepts, create new shapes, designs, mold and produce parts based on Planet Earth, in a "small" country called Portugal where we all are neighbors.

WHAT DO WE DO

It all starts with a sketch..we merge meanings, ideas, images, languages, shapes and transform it in a "Bag"... that follows us daily. Our portable and personal "container", chosen to fit in a million different situations and challenges...and instead of personal container, we end up giving it other names like.. | Backpack | Messenger Bag | Pencil Case | Purse | and many others… but the purpose is always the same ... transportation and protection of objects that we consider important and need to be close to us in our daily routines..On Holidays, Work, Business, Travel, School, Fun , Sports and many other situations, our "container" is always there!!

On C&T the taste for identity and personality makes us do almost everything in-house, protecting our costumer´s ideas and projects, making sure that they are handled properly and correspond to the quality standards we established almost 40 years ago. We have a unique structure in our line of work, always in constant learning, developing and investing, so we can serve our costumers the way they deserve.
